18+ Open IBO

Top 100 · Methodology

How the IBO Index is built

An index from 0 to 100, made every day from public sources. Method v1.

Five parts

PartWeightFrom what
Scale25Revenue or GGR: a reported figure (the online unit where a group reports one, marked so), else the middle of an IBO estimate band (at most 70% of the weight). Log scale.
Reach & buzz25Mentions in 30 days on the connected channels, Wikipedia views; weighted by the quality of the source; spikes damped by a 7-day median.
Trust & licences25Licences by the regulator’s tier and years licensed, minus sanctions and fines of the last 3 years.
Product15Verticals, markets, languages, own platform or white label, apps, and features few others have.
Transparency10The share of the 45 profile fields filled from public sources; listed companies with reported figures score higher.

Each part is the operator’s percentile among the 106 operators we track, times its weight. The five parts, each with one decimal, add up to the index. A score is published again only when it moves by 0.3 or more, so a place doesn’t change from daily noise.

More public information gives a higher Transparency and a fuller Reach — but a figure without a public source gives no points.

Revenue estimates

When a company publishes no figure, we show a band marked IBO estimate, never one number. The band comes from public facts — for example the group’s reported results, or a licence’s share of a regulated market. An estimate gives at most 70% of the Scale weight.

Sources

We use official APIs, open data and downloads their terms allow. Every figure on a profile has its source link and date. If a source fails, yesterday’s value stays with its date — a score is never blanked or set to zero.

What we never collect

No names of people — no executives, no authors of posts, no players. Mentions are counts; topics are words from a fixed list; the tone of news is an aggregate, never a quote. No links to betting sites, no bonuses, no affiliate codes.

Corrections

A company can suggest a correction on its profile with an email at its own domain. We answer within 5 working days. Every accepted correction shows on the profile with its date, and a company can add a short reply.
